Janet E. Hunnicutt

Janet E. Hunnicutt, 79, of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 10:35 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.  She was born on Saturday, November 4, 1939, in Huntington, IN. Janet worked at Franklin Electric over 30 years , specializing in insurance and benefits. She was able to retire at the age of 59 and spent her time traveling over most of the US and parts of Europe. She was a loving caregiver to her twin granddaughter’s during their growing up. She was a member of the Van Buren UM Church, where she was very active in several committees and was more than willing to help out with all church functions. She especially enjoyed helping with the monthly Joy Club dinners. She was also a member of the Van Buren Happy Red Hatters, worked with Kid’s Hope, and donated snacks for Switch Up.

She will be sadly missed by her Daughter – Janine Felver, Van Buren, IN, Grandson – Charles (Nicole) Shideler, Van Buren, IN, Granddaughter – Jennifer (Tyson) Ford, Markle, IN, Granddaughter – Holly Felver, Marion, IN, Granddaughter – Remi Felver, Marion, IN, Great Grandchild – Madeline Shideler, Great Grandchild – Jack Shideler, Brother – James (Evelyn) Thompson, and Sister-in-law – Donna Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her Father – Sherwood Thompson, Mother – Edna (Cramer) Thompson, Son – James Clinton Hunnicutt, Brothers – Robert, Tommy, & Howard Thompson, Sister-in-law – Vivian Jean Thompson, and Special Friend – Dallis Bunch.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

A service to celebrate her life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 with the Pastor Lucinda Osgood officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Etna Cemetery in Huntington County.
