HUNTINGTON,Indiana – The Huntington man who pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual battery in February was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail, one year suspended, in Huntington County Circuit Court on Monday. Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Boyer will have to register for a sex offender for 10 years and, according to the plea agreement, will seek treatment by Family Services Society. In exchange for the plea, an additional charge of rape as a Level 3 felony was dismissed. In October, Boyer inappropriately touched a woman while she was sleeping, according to the plea deal.
