Helen M. Fields

Helen M. Fields, 97, of Berne, IN, formally of Geneva, IN, passed away at 4:07 PM on Friday, January 04, 2019 at Swiss Village Retirement Center in Berne, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, July 13, 1921, in Adams County, IN.  She married Raymond “Tate”  Fields on Saturday, April 22, 1944 in Geneva, Indiana.  Helen along with her husband, owned and operated Tate’s market in Geneva, IN for many years. She was a graduate of Geneva High School. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Geneva, IN and also enjoyed her grandchildern & great-grandchildren.

Loving  Survivors include her  Son – Mike (wife, Mary) Fields, Geneva, IN. Daughter – Diana (husband, Ronald) Ghilardi, Huntley, IL, Daughter – Pat (husband, Tom) Landers, Geneva, IN, 7 Grandchildren, and 19 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband – Raymond “Tate” Fields, Father – William Roy Aspy, Mother – Merl (Burris) Aspy, Brother – Donald Aspy, Brother – Wayne Aspy, Son – William Fields, Brother – Dale Aspy, and Daughter – Sally Fields

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Tuesday, January 08, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A service to celebrate her life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 09, 2019 with the Pastor Michele Isch officiating.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva, IN.

Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
