Harold D. Staller

Harold D. Staller, age 86, of Peru, Indiana died on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born in Peru, Indiana to Dayton and Marie (Wilson) Staller.  Harold was a 1950 graduate of Twelve Mile High School.  He enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War.  He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW.

In 1955, Harold married Janet Laudenschlager.  He attended Main Street United Methodist Church for the past 63 years, and was retired from the Peru Post Office.

Harold is survived by his wife Janet, sister Lois, daughters Terri (Jamie) Murray and Cindy (Adam) Black, grandchildren Jonathan (Ashleigh) Young, Jessica Young, Brittany Newgent, Alexandra and Kyle Black, great-grandchildren Angelina and Sylis, sister Judy Pullman, brother Ronald (Nancy) Laudenschlager, sister-in-law Sue (Glen) Homes, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and Merrill.

Visitation will be held from 10am – 12 noon on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Main Street United Methodist Church.  Memorial service will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Lauren Hall officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church.
