H. David Kirkover

H. David Kirkover, 53, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 1:38 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on August 1, 1970, to Howard and Betty (Bohnert) Kirkover in Wabash, Indiana.
Dave was a 1989 graduate of Wabash High School. He worked at Medtronic in Warsaw, Indiana. Dave loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of Abate of Indiana. Dave was a loyal man and loved his family and his son. 
Dave is survived by his son, Evan Kirkover of Wabash, Indiana; his mother, Betty Kirkover of Wabash, Indiana; his companion, Amy Pennington of Urbana, Indiana, and her children, Cortney (Nate) Hembree of Denver, Indiana, Zac Pennington of Urbana, Indiana; three sisters, Cheryl (Scott) Evenson of Wabash, Indiana, Donna (Richard) Palmer of Wabash, Indiana, Barbara Hall of Winchester, Kentucky; two nephews, Kevin (Bridgette) Evenson of Wabash, Indiana, Cody (Felicia) Palmer of Wabash, Indiana; two nieces, Heather (Eric) Brown of Mount Etna, Indiana, McKenzie Hall of Winchester, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Kirkover. 
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.  
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials can be directed to Wabash County Cancer Society or Abate of Wabash County in care of McDonald Funeral Homes.
