Glenn M. Hill, 98, of Wabash, Indiana, formerly of Peru, Indiana, died at 5:40 pm, Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. He was born on December 7, 1924, in Vinton County, Ohio, to Henry Garfield and Josephine “Josie” (Bishop) Hill.
Glenn married Martha Lines in Amanda, Ohio on October 4, 1947; she died December 13, 2016. He was a long time farmer and also retired from Square D in Peru, Indiana after 20 years. Glenn was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Peru. He enjoyed gardening, his animals, and tinkering around. Glenn loved his family especially his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Gerhart of Sharpsville, Indiana, and Kathy (Rod) Brubaker of Wabash, five grandchildren; Byron (Janna) Brubaker of Wabash, Michael (Tina) Gerhart of Bunker Hill, Indiana, Michelle (Robbie) Harrison of Sharpsville, and Brandi (Mark) Castle and Benjamin (Brittany) Brubaker, both of Wabash, 14 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one great-granddaughter, one great-great-grandson, four brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. Friends may call 10 – 11 am, Saturday, at the funeral home.
