Gertrude “Trudie” Storm, 84, Fairmount, passed away in her home at 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was born in Dekalb, Illinois, on October 25, 1933, and was the daughter of the late John and Ida Magnuson.
On November 5, 1960, she married Iver Storm, and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2009. Trudie was a homemaker who enjoyed being at home and caring for her family. She liked watching TV, especially game shows and Westerns. Trudie was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori Dobbs, Marion, and Jennifer O’Connor, Fairmount; grandchildren, Joshua (Starla) Dobbs, Marion, Johnathon Dobbs, Marion, Samantha O’Connor, Fairmount, and Andrew (Georgia) O’Connor, Ridgeville; 5 great-grandchildren; and niece, Joan Hultman, Minnesota.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle (Will) Gerdeman and Irene Magnuson.
The family will have a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th St., Marion, IN.
