Geraldine Collins Hyden Furnish

Geraldine Collins Hyden Furnish, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:57 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2018 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born January 18, 1945 in Van Lear, Kentucky to Robert Junior and Lydia (Butcher) Collins.

Geraldine first married William Lloyd Hyden, the father of her children, and he survives. She then married Charles Furnish, who preceded her in death. She owned and raised exotic birds. Geraldine was an active member of the Wabash Chapel Church of God. She enjoyed plants, flowers, gardening, and working crafts. She also wrote music, sang in the church, and played the guitar.

She is survived by four children, Sherri (Mark) Key of Bybee, Tennessee, Linda (Jeff) Pope, Donna Hyden, and Bill (Brandy) Hyden, all of Wabash, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, three brothers, Robert A. (Jane) Collins, Kenneth (Penny) Collins, and Timothy Collins, all of Wabash, and two sisters, Shirleene Minnick of Arizona City, Arizona, and Judy Harlan of Huntington, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Doug Collins and Keath Collins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Wabash Chapel Church of God, 1463 Middle Street, Wabash, with Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Friday, at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
