George E.J. Roberts, Jr., 87, of Marion, passed away at 4:40 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Woodstock, Vermont, on Monday, February 24, 1936, to George and Madalyn Roberts. On September 28th, 1958, he married Lois Clothier, who survives.
George served in the United States Army and was a design draftsman. He loved being outdoors and was very handy; he could take apart and fix anything. George enjoyed helping others. In his later years, he enjoyed writing stories with an underlying salvation message.
George is survived by wife, Lois Roberts of Marion; son, Steven (Esther) Roberts of Santa Rita, GU; daughter, Barbara Roberts of Marion; grandchildren, David Roberts, Danielle Roberts; and brother, Charles Roberts of Albuquerque, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George E.J. and Madalyn Roberts, Sr.; son, George E.J. Roberts, III; and daughter, Deborah Stauss.
At George’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
