Gary Payne 63 of Markle, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 12 at home, surrounded by loved ones, as he lost his 2-year battle to cancer.
Gary was born April 7, 1955 in London, Ohio to Harry and Rebecca (Hastings) Payne, both deceased. Gary had two sisters, Jackie Zimmerman and Terri Jones, both deceased. Gary married his wife Jeanie on December 12, 1998. Gary has three children- Gary and Lara Payne ll of Cincy, Ohio, Jeremy and Amanda Payne of Columbus, Ohio, and Annette Adams of Plain City, Ohio. Gary has 2 step-daughters- Brian and Nikki Topp of Huntington, Indiana, and Steve and Amber Athan of Cincy, Ohio. Gary has nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Gary loved playing his guitar, fishing, and playing poker.
Gary retired from Mac Tools two years ago, this was his favorite career. He met so many people, a lot of them became friends. He always had a smile and definitely a joke. He will be greatly missed. A big thanks to all the nurses that cared for him for the past two years.
