Evelyn M. (Kem) Roseberry

Evelyn M. (Kem) Roseberry, age 91 passed away peacefully on April 19,2023 at her residence.

Evelyn was born June 18, 1931 in Peru, Indiana the daughter of the late William And Sylvia ( Beckley) Wilson.  She grew up on a diary farm.  She graduated from Peru High school. She also attended business school.  She married Philip E. Kem on February 22, 1959 and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2002. She later married Robert Roseberry on October 9, 2004 he preceded her in death on January 17, 2015. She retired as a secretary from Dana Corp., Marion, In.

She was a member of Sunnycrest Baptist Church of Marion and loved the Lord. Later she attended Brook Haven Church with her friend Noka Reed. Evelyn loved traveling and singing karaoke, she also sang in various groups (Sweet Adilines) and she always greeted you with a smile. She played the piano and loved her cat Golden Boy, but she thought of everyone before herself.

Evelyn is survived by a stepson Kevin (Rebecca Blanchard) Roseberry, Gas City In, a stepdaughter, Rita (Darold) Bass, Columbus, Indiana, one nephew, Fred (Patti) Kem, Rensselaer, one sister-in-law, Mary Kem, Rensselaer, two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Evelyn had two special friends Tom and Kathy Luzadder. A special thank you to her caregivers; Wilma Smith, Mara Mitchener, Rose Shaffer, Debbie Derry, and Carolyn Mallard.

In addition to her parents and her late husband’s she was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Wilson. Brother in laws; Ray and Dale Kem.

Friends and family may call Thursday April 27 from 11:00-1:00 p.m.  at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W Kem Rd, Marion, IN 46952. Funeral services will take place immediately following visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Brad Luzadder officiating.  Burial will take place in Mt. Etna Cemetery, Mt. Etna, Indiana.
