Eva M. Humphrey, 90, Marion, passed away at 6:47 am on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, December 23, 1931, to William and Winnie (Mitchell) Hayes.
Eva graduated from Mayfield High School in Kentucky. She worked in Production at General Tire in Marion and was a member of Trinity Victory Missionary Baptist Church. Eva loved to play Bingo at Round Robin, as well as watch TV, especially detective shows, suspense movies, and crime shows. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. She also loved to cook for her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, William Humphrey, Jr., of Marion, James Humphrey of Marion, Ricky (Brenda Jackson) Humphrey of Marion, Larry (Della) Davis of Pontiac, MI, and Raymond (Diane) Humphrey of Marion; daughters, Atoya Ricks of Marion and Fredricka (Walter) Oliphant of Macon, GA; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Harry Davis; five sisters; and one brother.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Trinity Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 2001 S. Gallatin St., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Eva’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Stanford Bolden officiating. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.
