Eugene H. Kughen, 81, Andrews, passed away at 11:42 am on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, August 26, 1941, to Wesley Glenn Kughen and Ruthadele (Small) Kughen-Yount. On June 10, 1961, he married Pamela McKee, and she survives.
Eugene graduated from Mississinewa High School and was a welder/mold maker with Foster-Forbes until his retirement. In his times of leisure, he enjoyed hunting and he loved to wheel and deal. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, Eugene is survived by his son, Mark Eugene (Melissa) Kughen; daughter, Susan Kughen-Hutcheson; grandsons, Lucas Kughen, Austin Kughen, Jay Michael Marin, and Gabriel Brown; sisters, Rosemary, Susie, and Jackie; brother, Raymond; and best friend, Bob Bothwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
A graveside service to celebrate Eugene’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Estates of Serenity. Pastor Ray Kughen will be officiating.
