Wabash Police Work Extra Hours Through New Years

WABASH, IN- Starting now, Wabash Police are working additional hours as part of the Safe Family Travel Campaign. This time of year is one of the busiest travel seasons. During the upcoming holiday season there is an increased number of drivers on the roads. To prevent crashes and personal injury Wabash Police are conducting saturation patrols designed to discourage impaired driving and promote seat belt use. “We’re not telling people they can’t drink. We’re asking people to be responsible and to not drink and drive,” said Patrolman Colin Gouveia. Wabash Police wish to keep everyone safe and make sure motorists are arriving at their destination. We are anticipating a very busy travel season this year so please slow down, drive sober, buckle up, and use hands free devices. Please drive to arrive.
