Ethel V. Hall

Ethel V. Hall, 86, Marion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was born in Hartford City, Indiana, on Wednesday, February 13, 1935, to Arnold and Delight (Spaulding) Pierce. On May 22, 1971, she married George Richard Hall, and he preceded her in death in 2016.

Ethel graduated in 1953 from Roll High School in Roll, Indiana. She was the office manager for Hills department store in downtown Marion for many years and then worked as a receptionist for 23 years with Ewer, Bonta and Moritz. She was a member of First Friends Church, where she was actively involved. Ethel loved to do yard work, read, and crochet. She also loved to cheer on the Purdue Boilermakers.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly (Roger) Saylor of Marion; grandsons, Derek (Kim) Saylor of Anderson and Michael Saylor of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandson, Greyson Saylor; sister-in-law, Joanne Wade of Marion; and special dog and friend, Frosty.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol E. Whitesell.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Ethel’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Dwight Elliott will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Estates of Serenity.
