Emma L. Daniel, 85, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:17 pm, Friday, March 23, 2018 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born October 11, 1932 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Eugene and Opal (Collins) Fields.
Emma married Charles R. Daniel in Wabash on June 5, 1964. She retired from General Tire in Wabash and United Technologies in North Manchester. She was a member of the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church. Emma enjoyed cooking and traveling, and especially loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Daniel of Wabash; five children, Brenda Penix and Marlene Watson, both of Wabash, Garnett Smith of Huntington, Indiana, Tammy (Jerry) Wade and Ricky Daniel, both of Wabash; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Wabash Freewill Baptist Church, 1056 E. Erie Street, Wabash, with Pastor Tod Masters officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3-7 pm Tuesday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday, at the church.
Preferred memorials are Wabash Free Will Baptist Church or the American Kidney Foundation.
