Elizabeth Nelda Ann “Betty” Benjamin, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:44 am, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born August 8, 1946 in Kankakee, Illinois to Bruno and Yvonne Nelda (Pellitier) Boudreau.
Betty was a 1964 graduate of St. Joseph Seminary High School in Kankakee, Illinois. She married Norman L. Benjamin in Bourbonnais, Illinois on April 26, 1969. She was a homemaker and attended the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time with Norm and her family. She has lived in Wabash since 1985, coming from Country Club Hills, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, Norman L. Benjamin of Wabash, two sons, Dennis L. Benjamin of Wabash, and Walter C. (Amanda) Benjamin of Lagro, Indiana, and two brothers, Vince Boudreau of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tim Boudreau of Chicago, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on February 4, 2020 with Father Levi Nkwocha officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of St. Bernard at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3-6:30 pm Monday, at the funeral home, with a rosary service at 6:30 pm.
