Elizabeth Louise Dyer, 72, of Lagro, Indiana, died at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born August 19, 1947 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Rev. Dan and Mary (Pierce) Staggs. She was raised by her father and step-mother Willodean Staggs.
She loved her family and friends, and will be greatly missed by her longtime companion David Thrailkill and her faithful dog, Bitty.
She is survived by her companion, David Thrailkill of Lagro, son, Cory Johnson and three grandchildren, Sabra Johnson, Crissy Johnson, and Larry Johnson, all of Wabash, Indiana, sister, Ruth (Tony) Combs of Alaska, two brothers, Dan (Janet) Staggs of Bloomington, Illinois, and Bud Staggs of Wabash, and her half-sister, Janelle (Kirk) Wade of New Haven, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services and burial will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Lagro Cemetery. Friends may call 1-2:00 p.m. Thursday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash.
