Edith “Edi” L. Kline

Edith “Edi” L. Kline, age 75, of Huntington, died at 1:23 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Visitation will be from 3 – 7 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Minister Scott Reece officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.

Edi was born on September 6, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Harvey S. and Janette (Linn) Kuykendall. She was a 1960 graduate of Waterloo-Grant Township High School and worked in banking and insurance for eight years. She married Jerry E. Kline on May 21, 1967 in Waterloo and became a homemaker. She was a member of Huntington Church of Christ and spent her lifetime writing songs and poems. She was dearly loved by her family and all who knew her.

Surviving in Huntington are her husband, Jerry E. Kline, a daughter, Lisa (Brad) McDonald, and sons Jeffrey E. (Beth) Kline, Curtis H. (Belinda) Kline, and David A. (Carrie) Kline. Also surviving are sisters Ann (Lynn) Johnson of Pleasant Lake, June Sattison of LaGrange, and Linda (Dale) Schuster of Fort Wayne and brothers Eric Kuykendall and Philip Kuykendall, both of Ashley, Indiana and Jim (Valerie) Kuykendall of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She has twelve grandchildren. Her parents, a brother, Steve Kuykendall, and a sister, Susan Kuykendall precede her in death.
