Dugless A. Fugitt

Dugless A. Fugitt, 77, of Montpelier, IN, passed away  on Thursday, November 01, 2018 at his residence in Montpelier, IN.  He was born on Thursday, October 02, 1941, in Delight, AR.  He married Peggy Sue  Jones on Friday, June 16, 1995 in Asbury UM Church, Portland, IN.  Dugless was a graduate of Portland High School. He served his country in the US Airforce where he was a B47 mechanic. He worked as a auto mechanic after he retured home from the service. He had worked at CTS in Berne for 28 1/2 years. Dugless was a member of the Blackford Jay Voitur 988 40-8, Montpelier Masonic Lodge #600 F&AM, a lifetime member of the Amvets # 23 in Hartford City, and Millard Brown American Legion Post # 156. He had served as Past Post Commander, Past District Commander, and Past Dept. Northern Vice for the American Legion. He was very dedicated to the military and veterans. Dug enjoyed fishing with his father in his early years, golfing, and shooting guns.

 

Loving Survivors Include his Wife – Peggy Sue Fugitt, Montpelier, IN, Son – Cledith Allen Fugitt, Winchester, IN, Sister – Sarah L. (Truman) Briggs, Pennville, IN, 8 Grandchildren, and 14  Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father – Jeff Davis Fugitt, Mother – Helen M. (Price) Fugitt, and Brothers – Davis A. Fugitt, & Raymond H. Fugitt.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, In. 47359  on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018  from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM.

A service to celebrate Dug’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.  Interment will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. Military Rites will be conducted by the Millard Brown American Legion Post 156.
