Donna M. Wagener, 60, of Swayzee, passed away in her home at 1:28 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She was born in Batesville, Indiana, on Monday, January 7, 1963, to Donald and Betty (Noel) Ackman. She married David Yost, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Donna was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and had worked for Café Valley. She liked knitting, shopping, and watching Ghost Adventures, especially anything paranormal. Donna loved her family and faithfully watched the kids play softball.
Survivors include her sister, April (Matt) Russell of Jonesboro; nephews and nieces, Mason Russell, Arthur (Allie) Ingram, Olivia Russell, Sonya (Sven) Ackman, and Joseph (Anna) Ackman; great-nephew, Miles Ackman; special friends, Jeff Wagener of Swayzee and Sue Ann Atkinson; and Phoenix J. Storm, who was “like a brother” to Donna.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Yost; and brother, David Ackman.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Donna’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Phoenix J. Storm officiating.
