Donald R. “Stub” Fishbaugh

Donald R. “Stub” Fishbaugh, age 94, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 9:00 am at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.  He worked for Huntington Salvage and then as a bricklayer. He spent his last years living and helping at Timber Lake. He enjoyed camping, fishing and splitting wood.

 

Donald was born August 14, 1923, in Carter Township, Montana, the son of Isaac “Ike” and Versey (Spath) Fishbaugh. On October 28, 1944, he married his beloved wife Catherine Kinsey in Huntington and she passed away in 1997.  He is survived by 5 sons Donald Fishbaugh of Huntington, David Fishbaugh of Huntington, Harry Fishbaugh of Indianapolis, Larry Fishbaugh of Huntington, Roland Fishbaugh of Fort Wayne, Henry Fishbaugh of Lagro, Lloyd Fishbaugh of Warren, 3 daughters Betty Cox of Columbia City, Beverly Asher of Georgia, Sharon Rivers of Zephyrhills, Florida, 29 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren, and sister Mary Ward of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by brothers Jim, John, Forrest, Sam, Tom, Glen, Clark Fishbaugh, and sisters Alice Randall, Ellen Buck and Ruth Butts.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm preceding the 1:00 pm funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
