Donald “Don” W. Debruler

Donald “Don” W. Debruler, 64, Marion, passed away at 4:10 p.m. at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born in Marion on November 11, 1953, and was the son of the late Harold and Lois May (Fleshman) Debruler.

Don received his journeyman’s card and used it to work as a mold maker throughout his career. He began at Foster Forbes in Marion in 1974, where he worked for five years before transferring to OI Brockway in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1979. His job then moved him to Toledo, Ohio, in 1990, where he worked for Libby Glass for ten years.

Don was a member of the Patriot Guard. He loved riding his motorcycle, and he followed NASCAR/motorsports. He especially loved his dog, Bo.

He is survived by his son, Shawn (Heather) Debruler, Muncie; daughter, Whitney (Josh) Owens, Marion; grandchildren, Corbin Debruler, Briana Weaver, and Haley Weaver; sisters, Karen (Larry) S. Cook, Franklin, and Roberta “Burtie” Debruler, Marion; nieces, Andrew (Drew) Debruler, Amy (Matt) Wilson, Angie (Rich) Buchanan, and Jennifer (Jason Greenbaum) Cook; great-nieces and great-nephews, Janica Debruler, Luke and Sophia Wilson, Hunter and Lauren Buchanan, and Jaylun Cook; and his dog, Bo.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Don’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
