Donald (Don) Ribble

Donald (Don) Ribble passed away peacefully in his home in Peru Indiana surrounded by his loved ones on March 11, 2024 at the age of 83.

Donald met the love of his life Kitty Boyer in 1956 at What-a-Burger drive in and knew she was the one for him instantly. Just two short years later they made it official and wed on July 1, 1958 in Logansport, Indiana and began building their family that same year. Don and Kitty have been married for 65 years.

Don was born in Mitchell Indiana on June 4, 1940 to Howard and Marie Ribble. He attended Peru Community School up until the 8th grade and then began his working career. Don worked many different jobs throughout his life and some of his favorites being an engineer for C&O Railroad and Mennel Milling as a truck driver. He retired in 2006.

Don enjoyed many hobbies after his retirement which included working on his antique vehicles like his well loved 1947 Chevy Fleetline taking it all over winning many trophies at car shows. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Literary Aid Society, and Eagles where he would enjoy an ice cold beer, listen to the live bands and converse with all of his family and friends. Spoiling his grandkids and great grand babies along his dearly loved Collie Dogs (Miley) and Coco were a daily hobbie of Don’s as well.

Don is proceeded in death by his Mother and Father, Howard and Marie Ribble, Daughter Kathy Ribble, Sister Patty Siegel, Brother Gary Ribble, Brother Curtis Ribble.

A funeral service will be held at Flowers and Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W 3rd St, Peru, IN 46970 on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2pm with a visitation set to follow from 3pm to 5pm.
