Diana Lynn Fields

Diana Lynn Fields, 59, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:02 pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her daughters. She was born January 12, 1961 in Wabash, to Elijah B. and Betty Lee (Hitchcock) McCarty.

Diana married John P. Fields in Wabash on July 1, 1978; he died June 13, 2019. She worked as a Direct Care Trainer for Pathfinder Services, retiring in 2011. Diana attended the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church. She bowled in several Wabash Bowling Leagues over the years. Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, and she loved her dogs Rosie, Lucy, Tanner, Sparky, Missy, and Paisley, and her cat Miss Kitty.

She is survived by three daughters, Acacia (James) Watson of Wabash, Amanda (Joshua) Napier of Akron, Indiana, and Sarah (David) Matthews of Marion, Indiana, 11 grandchildren, Riordan Watson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Regan Watson, Jacob Blackford, and Madison Clark, all of Wabash, Shelby Grumpp, Lexus Grumpp, Clara Matthews, McKayle Matthews, Summer Matthews, and Wesley Matthews, all of Marion, sister, Cathy (Bill) Dillon of Lagro, Indiana, and two brothers, Terry (Lori) McCarty and Larry McCarty, both of Wabash. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson Isaac Grumpp.

Graveside services and burial will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorial is Progressive Care Center in Marion.
