Dennis R. Smith, 61, Marion, went to be with the Lord in his home at 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. He was born in Marion on March 14, 1957, and was a graduate of Marion High School. On July 6, 2006, he married his loving bride, Kathy Rowe, and she survives.
Dennis worked in the maintenance department at Hill’s Department Store and was previously a security guard at Dana. He attended Christian Bible Church and enjoyed watching sports on TV.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kathy, Marion; aunt, Coral Smith, Marion; and two brothers, Jeff Smith, Oklahoma, and Brian Smith, California.
Preceding him in death was his father, Gary Smith.
The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Grant Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service for Dennis will begin at 11 a.m. with burial taking place at Grant Memorial Park. Pastor Ben Watkins will be officiating.
