Deloris Snoke

Deloris Snoke, age 88, of Roanoke, died at 11:57 a.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018 at her home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Raymond Scribner officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Chapel Cemetery in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Deloris was born on October 18, 1929 in Union Township, Huntington County, the daughter of Thelma Hoover. She graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1947 and married Arthur “Bill” Snoke on March 26, 1962 in Roanoke; he preceded her in death on September 12, 2001 after 39 years of marriage. Deloris co-owned Snoke Feed Mill in Roanoke for many years and farmed with her husband Bill on their Clear Creek Township Farm. She also worked in administration at Huntington College and prepared personal taxes from her home. She enjoyed gardening and crochet and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Danny (Barbara) Hughes of Roanoke, a daughter, Fanchon Rodenberger of Palm Bay, Florida, granddaughters Amber Brost and Jamie Rudicel, great grandchildren Adalynn Rudicel and Harrison Rudicel, and several nieces and nephews.
