Delores “Dee” Vlaun

Delores “Dee” Vlaun was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandma, friend and to many she was simply known as “Great.” After 100 amazing years on this earth, Dee went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2023. She was born to Walter and Myrtle Fischer in Dunkirk, Indiana, enjoyed over 20 years as a resident of Long Island, New York then became a long-time resident of Marion, Indiana, and spent her final years in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dee loved her family, traveling the United States, watching sports…especially baseball, and most recently her daily walks around the block.

She is survived by her two daughters, Billie Goble and Roberta (Ronnie) Herring; her son, Terry (Dolly) Marden; along with 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She joins her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Vlaun; brothers and their wives, Walter (Kathleen) Fischer and Richard (Wilma) Fischer; sisters, Alice Herrington and Betty Kugler; son-in-law, Ralph Goble; and her parents, Walter and Myrtle Fischer in heaven.

Our hearts are full to have shared 100 years with her and to have heard the many stories she was able to share about her time here on earth.

She will be greatly missed.
