Delight A. Wilson, 91, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 3:30 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Bridgewater Centre in Hartford City, IN. He was born on Saturday, September 25, 1926, in Blackford County, IN. He married Evelyn (Phillips) Wilson on Friday, July 09, 1948. Delight was a 1945 graduate of Hartford City High School. He attended Hartford City Wesleyan church. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Delight worked at Overhead Door, Clamme Bros., and retired from Gripco in Montpelier, IN. He enjoyed both ice and regular fishing, going to his grandchildren’s ballgames, playing Euchre, watching IU Basketball when Bobby Knight was coach, spending time with his family, and gardening and being outdoors. Having served in the U.S. Army he was very honored to be able to go on the Honor Flight in April 2016.

(Tina) Wilson, Marion, IN, Shane (Jill) Wilson, Columbia City, IN, Bradley (Denise) Verona, Indianapolis, IN, Lindsay (Chad) Reynolds, Warren, IN, 8 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Samuel E. Wilson, Mother – Bertha (McDirmit) Wilson, Wife – Evelyn (Phillips) Wilson, Brothers – Floyd Cline, & Errit Wilson, and Sister – Thelma Love.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Delight’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 20, 2018 with Pastor’s Tom Parsons and Shane Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery in Eaton.
