Deborah “Debbie” S. Huston, 64, Marion, passed away at 11:11 pm on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, February 16, 1959, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Nix) Trueman. On September 9, 1988, she married Douglas E. Huston, who survives.
Debbie graduated from Marion High School and was a legal secretary for over forty years for Martin Lake. Additionally, she managed the Idyl Wyld Roller Skating Rink for twenty years. Growing up at the skating rink, she won many competitive awards and was also an instructor. Debbie was best known as hard-working, a loving mother and grandmother, and a caretaker to the family. Debbie also adored her loving dog, Sadie.
In addition to her loving husband, Doug, survivors include her mother, Dorothy Trueman; sons, Nathan (Stephanie) Bragg of Marion and Doug T. (Crystal) Huston of Van Buren; granddaughters, Janessa Huston and Lesleigh Bragg; grandsons, Chad Stevens, Ethan Bragg, Elijah Bragg, and Owen Bragg; sisters, Sheryl (Jack) Courtney and Christine (late Dan) Peters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Trueman; grandson, Tyler Bragg; and granddaughter, Amelia Bragg.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Debbie’s life will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Marion Bush officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park at a later date.
