Visitation will be from 3 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jason Parsons and Pastor Mike Cloud officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery in Huntington County.

Dean was born on August 8, 1925 in Whitley County, the son of Floyd Edward and Nona Ethel (Eberhart) Hunter. He attended Clear Creek High School and served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was stationed in Italy. He married Iris E. Prentice on April 10, 1949 in Noble County. Dean enjoyed a lifetime of farming in Huntington County. He was a life member of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntington. He loved to go camping and spend time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Iris E. (Prentice) Hunter of Huntington, daughters Karen S. (James E.) Morton, Rita K. (Jeffrey) Brankle, and Sheila R. (Troy) Whitacre, all of Huntington and Brenda J. (Michael) Cloud of Rochester, a sister Palma (Delbert) Walter of Huntington, eleven grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. His parents precede him in death.
