David W. Glassburn, 68, of Converse, passed away at 7:10 pm on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Brookside Care Strategies in Muncie. He was born in Peru, Indiana, on Thursday, November 11, 1954, to Emerson and Margaret (Sanders) Glassburn. He married Joni L. Warnock on November 6, 1976, and she preceded him in death on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
David graduated from Oak Hill High School and was a plumber for 20 years with Jerry Hutchings Plumbing, retiring in 2015. He especially enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR with his wife, Joni, and playing with his dog, Spanky. A special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for all their care and compassion.
David is survived by his sister, Cindy Long of Converse; aunt, Carolyn Sanders; special cousins, Marilyn Johns of Greentown, Mary Lou Nash of Hineston, LA, Norman Glassburn of Fort Wayne, Rick Glassburn of Peru, Robbie Sanders of Converse, and Derrick Sanders of MO; and long-time friends, Tim McClain, Kurk Tucker, Chad Salyers, Keith Evans, and Jake Walker.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his son, Timothy Glassburn.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date to celebrate the lives of David, his wife, Joni, and his son, Tim, who passed on January 13, 2020.
