David Michael Shrontz, 58, Marion, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on July 27, 1963, to Richard “Pinkie” Shrontz and Joyce (Heathcote) Combs. On March 31, 2022, he married Tamara Zoch.
David attended Mississinewa High School. He worked as a truck driver his entire life. He enjoyed motorcycle rides and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Tamara Shrontz; children, Kayla Hayes, Michael Hayes, Taylor (Josh) Sheron, Alexis Walker, Christian Snyder; grandchildren, Isaac Hayes, Jared Hayes, Arianna Hayes, Lalia Hayes, Shealeigh Hayes, Ava Hayes, Olivia Hayes, and Novaleigh; siblings, Kathy (Ted) Wilkerson, Connie (Ernest) Leal, and Ed Martin; mother-in-law, Jane Zoch; best friend, Adam Brankle; and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rick Shrontz and Jeff Shrontz, and father-in-law, Gerard Zoch.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN 46933.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate David’s life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
