David L. Southwick, 73, passed away in his home on April 2, 2018. He was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Edward N. and Marjorie T. (Listenfelt) Southwick on August 27, 1944.
David graduated from Marion High School in 1961. He married Helen L. Wooten on March 25, 1967. She preceded him in death April 10, 2014. David worked as an electrician for Thomson Consumer Electronics and retired in 2000 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. David enjoyed spending time working on his rental properties and relaxing with a good cup of coffee.
He is survived by his children, Tammy S. Miller and David B. (Shannon) Southwick, both of Marion; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his sister Carolann Shallenbarger.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 12-2 pm in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Gas City Chapel, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana.
The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana.
