Dale Allen Jackson, 69, Marion, passed away at 7:55 am on Monday, December 26, 2022, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, January 2, 1953. He was married to Pamela (Bollett) Jackson, and she survives.
Dale worked with Weihe Construction for 15 years, where he was a heavy equipment operator. Dale will be remembered as one who always kept his family laughing! Everyone knew him as a jokester. He loved riding dirt bikes, and his signature “lawnmower” dance was always a treat to watch at special events. He was especially talented at playing the guitar and looked forward to playing with his three oldest grandsons in their band, “Papa and the Boys”. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Pamela, survivors include his children, John Jackson of KY, Melanie (John) Sparks of KY, Heather (Nathan) Enslen of Van Buren, Allen (Kiona) Jackson of TN, and Lindsay Wampner of Marion; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sheryl Corman of Wilmore, KY, Joan Jackson of Cynthiana, KY, and Laura Bartley of Bear Lake, MI; several nieces and nephews; and uncle, John (Sue) Hiles of FL.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Osie M. Carrier; sister, Debra Voland; grandfather, Luther Hiles; grandmother, Laura Josephine Hiles; 2 uncles; and 3 aunts.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Dale’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tony Miner officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion at a later date.
