Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Hess, 67, of Huntington, IN, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 2:50 p.m.
Cindy was born on July 10, 1950, in Goshen, IN, to Robert and Florence (Cornforth) Crothers. Her parents preceded her in death. Cindy married William Hess on August 28, 1993. He survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Cindy was a graduate of Ligonier High School in 1968. She served in the United States Army in 1991 in support of Operation Desert Shield. She retired with the ranking of Specialist from the Army in 2010. She also worked at Huntington Electric and Salvation Army Thrift Store. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Post #85.
Along with William, she is survived by a daughter, Janin (William) Phillips, Peru, IN and 2 granddaughters, Alexa Hess and Ruth Hess, Peru, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Funeral Services will follow at noon on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750 with Rev. Mike Rowley officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
