Constance Joyce (Bebout) Colclesser

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”  2 Corinthians 5:8. Constance Joyce (Bebout) Colclesser, age 91, of Huntington, passed from this life Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 9:40 pm at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

 

 

Joyce was born January 15, 1927, in Delaware County, the daughter of Earl and Marjorie (Cranor) Bebout.  She was a 1945 graduate of Center School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Ball State University in 1953.  She was a nurse on the surgical floor at Ball Hospital. On September 1, 1957 she married her beloved husband of 46 years Galen Colclesser in Huntington.  He preceded her in death September 10, 2003.

 

 

Joyce was a member of College Park United Brethren Church where she served as pianist for 15 years.  She most enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, traveling, listening to classical music, playing the piano and singing hymns with her husband.

 

 

She is survived by a daughter Stephanie (Scott) Eddy of Wabash, 2 step-children Chris (Felicia) Colclesser of Fort Wayne and Linda Collins of Sarasota, Florida, 4 granddaughters Jennifer, Danielle and Brenna Hipsher of Wabash and Allison Colclesser of Seattle, Washington and a grandson Adam Colclesser of Fort Wayne.

 

 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon preceding the 12:00 noon funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel.  Pastor Todd Render of Wabash Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Shock Cemetery.
