Connie L. Crews

Connie L. Crews, age 84, of Huntington, died at 7:20 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana 46750. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Friday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Brunk Conley officiating.

Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services for Huntington County, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Connie was born on January 7, 1934 in Huntington, the daughter of Ray Voght and Ninia Marie (Elston) Cocklin. She married Orville W. Crews on March 3, 1965 in Huntington. Connie worked for Magnetek for 15 years; she retired in 2000 after five years in production at Wabash Magnetics. Connie was very active at Huntington Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed crochet and sewing.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Orville Crews of Huntington, daughters Kimberly (John) Case of Huntington, Dria Richards of Tennessee, and Katrina Kinsey of Roanoke, a sister, Judy (Tom) Burnsworth of Lagro, ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death her parents, her stepfather, Earl Cocklin, a son, Terry Crews, brothers, Jack Voght, Bob Voght, Richard Wayne Voght, and Carl E. Voght, and a sister, Carolyn Sue Voght.
