Clyde E. Williams, Jr., 63, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on March 24, 1960, to Clyde and Sarah (Wyatt) Williams.
Clyde worked at Local Union 1112 for several years and was a lifelong member. He was also a lifelong member of ABATE. Clyde was a man of many talents who truly had nine lives! Known as a jack-of-all-trades, Clyde did a little bit of everything. He was a self-educated man who was a hard worker, a mechanic, and an advocate of furthering one’s education. He was an avid junk and coin collector. More than anything, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and was proud of his children for all of their accomplishments.
He is survived by his significant other, Julie Barber; two children, Clyde (Rachel) Williams, III, and Crystal Williams; mother of his two children, Ronda Buckler Handley; grandchildren, Skyler, Adriann, Jesse, Audrina, and Cylias; 13 step-grandchildren; siblings, Vicki Herres and Deborah Mills; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, Dan Turney, Barry Welch, Dave Thompson, and Willy Baird.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At Clyde’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
