Cloeta F. Berry

Cloeta F.  Berry, 86, Gas City, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor. She was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas, on Sunday, June 14, 1936, to Opel and Opal (Gallaway) Carr. On April 4, 1969, she married Dempsey C. Berry, and he survives.  

Cloeta worked for 40 years at RCA, retiring in 1995. She liked to travel, make quilts, crotchet, and crafts.  She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her dog, Taco. Most of all she loved her family.   

Survivors include her son, Rhonald “Dale” (LaNelle) Carr of Fowlerton; granddaughters, Sabra (Ryan) Moulton of Rossville, Breanna Carr of Fairmount; grandson, Quentin Carr of Fowlerton; great-granddaughter, Shaylin Moulton; sisters, Eva Dean (Billy Tom) Bittle, Elfreeda Tilly, Gereta Gibbs, Judy (James) Prestwood, Shirley (Rodney) Wolf, Karen (Fred) Taylor, Dedra McCaghren; brothers, Harold (Vernita) Carr, Carlon (Linda) Carr; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was reunited with her parents, Opel O. and Opal Mae Carr; sister, Lavetta Pike; and brother, Phil Carr.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Cloeta’s life will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service Storey Chapel. Pastor Jerry Gallaway will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
