Clara A. “Dolly” Garvin

On the morning of March 23, 2024 Clara A. “Dolly” Garvin, 89, of Mexico, Indiana went home to be with Jesus in the comfort of her home.

She was born in Peru on July 17, 1934 to Joseph and Cecil Faust.

Dolly graduated from Butler High School. She worked at the American Stationary for many years.

Dolly attended St. Charles Catholic Church all her life.

Dolly absolutely loved all of her family. She loved to care for them and her home. She enjoyed mowing her yard, being outdoors, reading, playing cards, and in her younger years she loved horseback riding.

Dolly is survived by her children, Michael A. Nash, Tammy Everroad, step children, Dennis Garvin (wife, Patty), Gary Garvin (wife, Leah Anne), Marlena Neighbor, grandchildren, Justin Dye (wife, Cindy), Sarah Garvin, Adam Garvin (wife, Karrie), and numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Joseph Faust, Mary Jane Peterson, John Faust, Barbara Clinton, Jim Faust, Katherine Bradley, her loving husband, Paul Garvin, her friend and companion, Dean McGuire, and former husband, Edgar Nash.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral service will follow at 12pm with Father Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will take place at Peoria Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Peoria Cemetery to put towards their annual upkeep fund.
