Charlotte Marie Meredith, 87, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:30 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Waters of Wabash West. She was born on March 17, 1936, in Point Isabel, Indiana, to Russell and Louise (Culp) Farley.
Charlotte worked for General Telephone in Wabash and Fort Wayne, retiring after more than 30 years. She also was an in home caregiver in Fort Wayne while working at General Telephone, in and around Wabash after retirement. Charlotte was a member of Wabash Alliance Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ at church, played at several churches, and also for services at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service. Charlotte especially loved her family.
She is survived by four sons, Tony (Sharon ) Meredith, Tom Meredith, and Pat (Michele) Meredith, all of Wabash, and Chris (Teresa) Meredith of Franklin, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, Misty (Bill) Preston, Michael (Stacey) Meredith, Christopher (Andrea) Meredith, Michelle Lowe, Valerie (Jeremy) Hackworth, Thomas (Erin) Meredith, Mason Meredith, Melissa Meredith, Kaden Meredith, Joshua Meredith, Taylor (Kenzie) Meredith, Justin Meredith, and Sarah Meredith; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry Meredith, daughter, Melinda Mishler, sister, Gwendolyn Smith, and her longtime companion, David Abel.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1-3 pm Tuesday, at the funeral home.
