Charley Creek Gardens Lunch And Learn Series Presents Drunken Botanist

WABASH,Indiana – Charley Creek Gardens is gearing up for a new season of the Lunch and Learn series which is free and open to the public. Starting the series off will be “The Drunken Botanist” taking place on Wed., March 16 from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. in the Education and Resource Center at 551 N. Miami Street.
“The Drunken Botanist,” written by Amy Stewart, explores the hundreds of plants that are fermented, distilled, macerated, infused, and mixed to create popular libations. The book will serve as a launching pad for the presentation as participants will look at the array of herbs, flowers, trees and fruits humans have used to make alcohol over the centuries.
Lunch and Learn at the Gardens is a series of garden related talks held monthly at Charley Creek Gardens and is free to the public. Attendees are to bring their own lunch if desired, as lunch is not provided. To ensure table space, groups of six of more are requested to make reservations in advance by calling Kelly Smith at 260.563-1020 or by sending an email to kellys@charleycreekgardens.org.
Charley Creek Gardens is located at 551 N. Miami Street, and is a non-profit horticulture center dedicated to the study, conservation, and appreciation of plants, both native and foreign, through garden displays, education, and research. Charley Creek Gardens offers over six acres of gardens in Wabash, IN and is open from dawn to dusk 365 days a year. Parking is at 518 N. Wabash Street.
