Charles Taylor, 86, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in his home. He was born in Malden, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 19, 1936, to Tip Taylor and Addie (McKeller) Roebuck.
Charles worked for several years as a commercial painter. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and baseball. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include his sons, Mustafa (Khadija) Taylor of Indianapolis and Johnnie B. Taylor of Indianapolis; grandson, Johnnie D. Taylor; one great-grandson, Jaevyon Taylor; brother, Floyd (Beverly) Taylor; sister, Lillie Roebuck; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and good friends, Paul (Christle) Yates of Clinton, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tip Taylor; mother, Addie (McKeller) Roebuck; step father, Earlie Roebuck, and brother, James Taylor.
The family will have a graveside service for Charles at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Rev. Mallory Tarrance will be presiding.
