Charles “Jay” Beaver, 82, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 10:18 PM on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his home in Montpelier, IN. He was born on Thursday, February 06, 1936, in Lafayette, IN. He married Nancy Roush on Friday, June 21, 1974 in Hartford City, IN. Jay was a 1953 graduate of Montpelier High school. He later furthered his education at Purdue University and also Ball State University and received his Master’s degree. He retired from Blackford High School where he had been a math teacher for 40 years on June 1, 1998. Jay was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 600, and Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne, IN.
Loving Survivors Incude his Wife – Nancy (Roush) Beaver, Montpelier, IN, Sons – Charles David Beaver, South Bend, IN, Philip Jay (wife, Mary Clare) Beaver, Indianapolis, IN, John Wayne (wife, Dana) Rusher, Fort Wayne, IN, Daughter – Beth Ann Clark, Brooksville, FL, Son – Robert (wife, Jany) Runion, Brownsburg, IN, 12 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren.,
He was preceded in death by his Mother – Margaret Elizabeth (Loveless) Beaver, and his Father – Charles Virgil Beaver.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor Street Montpelier, IN 47359 on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 21, 2018. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
A service to celebrate Jay’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home on Friday, September 21, 2018 with Pastor Jeremy Stultz officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
