Carol A. Moorman-Reed, 79, Converse, went to be with the Lord in her home at 4:36 am on Thursday, September 28, 2023. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, November 1, 1943, to Harry and Sadie (Perkins) Dennison. She was married to Raymond C. Reed, who survives.
Carol graduated from Marion High School and attended Marion Business College. She was the owner/operator of Converse Pizza Place and Davis Cafe. She was a 50-year member of Converse United Methodist Church, where she was active with Vacation Bible School, prepared meals, and helped decorate the church. Carol also loved buying and selling antiques. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her children, Debra “Debbie” (William) Kelsay-Charland of Fort Wayne, Ron “Ronnie” (Jeanette) Kelsay of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Jennifer Kelsay of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Donna (John) Gerber of Gas City; step-son, Dale (April) Reed of Huntington; granddaughter, Jaclyn Haskell; grandsons, Hubbell Kelsay and Jared Kelsay; step-granddaughters, Kira, Nicki, and Elizabeth; step-grandson, Christian; three great-grandchildren; brother, Harry Dennison, Jr., of Wabash; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy Dennison, George Dennison, Don Dennison, Earl Dennison, and Paul Dennison; and sisters, Jean Hatfield, Nina Church, and Mary Lena Dennison.
A graveside service for Carol will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Converse Cemetery, 108 E. Wabash St., Converse, IN 46919. A lunch for the family will follow.
