Carl Ernest Favorite, 99, of rural Roann, Indiana, died at 6:44 pm, Monday, September 26, 2022, at his home. He was born on August 13, 1923, in Roann, to Ernest and Arvilla “Jenny” (Dolby) Favorite.
Carl was a 1942 graduate of Roann High School. He married Gladys Jeffries in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 5, 1951; she died March 17, 2019. He was a retired farmer. Carl also owned and operated Favorite Specialties, and worked at Majestic in Huntington three years. He attended Bachelor Creek Church of Christ.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Ronald) Willour of Indianapolis; two daughters-in-law, Patsy Favorite and Connie Collins, both of Wabash; five grandchildren, Wendy (Wesley) Hoff and Lisa (Jon) Whitesel, both of Indianapolis, Jeffrey (Katie) Willour of Carmel, Indiana, Dawn (Chris) Miller of Anacoco, Louisiana, and Glen (Crystal) Etue of Wabash; and 14 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Steven, Randy, and Gary Favorite, and his sister, Mary Ellen Layman.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Ron Willour and Wes Hoff officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the Donor’s choice.
