Bradley A. Sweat

Bradley A. Sweat, 48, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at his residence in Matthews, Indiana. Brad was a 1989 graduate from Eastbrook High School, an active member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 387 Gaston, Indiana, and a member of the Legion Riders Post 313, Fairmount, Indiana. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and being with his family, especially his grandsons. He enjoyed building race cars and being involved in racing, shooting pool, singing karaoke, and watching Looney Tunes and old westerns.

Brad was born January 19, 1970, in Marion, Indiana, to William “Jim” Sweat and the late Wilma Joan Shoaf Sweat. He married Jill Levensky Stewart on July 20, 2013.

He is survived by his wife and father; daughter, Cortney Sweat, Indianapolis; son, Cory Sweat, Elkhart; brothers, Gregory (Mary Ann) Sweat, Marion, Jeff (Tracy ) Sweat, Fowlerton, Jim Sweat Jr., Fowlerton, and Daryl (Kerri) Sweat, Blue Ash, Ohio; step-children, Autumn (Adam Kline) Stewart, Matthews, Cameron Stewart, Gas City, Casey Stewart, and Shelby (Lou) Stewart, both of Upland; and grandchildren, Cole Greer, Nolon McClellan, and Kaine Kline.

Funeral services for Brad will be at 6:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana, where the family will receive friends from 2-6 PM. At Brad’s request, cremation will follow. Pastor Mark Hummel, from Grace Community Church, Marion, Indiana, will be officiating.
