PERU – Monday evening, August 15th, Peru Board of Public Works met a City Hall, the board approved the closure of Riverside Drive, October 7th and October 8th, for Octoberfest Party, at Smitty McMusselman’s. A benefit for Mark Olson was approved by the board, during the meeting, at Amphitheater on September 17th from Noon until Midnight. Peru Mayor Gabe Greer says it nice to see the community come together,
Also approved by the board was Peru Firemen’s Fund Local Union 383, will be collecting money for MDA, on Saturday, September 3rd. Trucks will be placed in the middle of the street, on main street from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
A Walk for Hunger was approved by the board, for Saturday, September 17th, beginning at 10 a.m. The patrons will stay on the sidewalks from 176 North Broadway to Wabash Bridge, across the street and return back. The next Peru Board of Public works will be Thursday, September 1st at 5:00 p.m.
