Blessings in a Backpack Sponsoring Canned Food Sculpture Contest

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – Blessings in a Backpack will sponsor a canned food sculpture contest November 5, 2021 during the November First Friday Celebration, and your organization is invited to participate.

Participation will not only help raise awareness of Blessings in a Backpack in the community, but also contribute to the food supply which serves over 600 Wabash County students per week.

Participating organizations will:

Collect or purchase any of the following food items: jello cups, pudding cups, mac n cheese (2.34 oz), canned pasta, cup of noodles, cereal cups, Capri Sun pouches, applesauce cups, granola bars, gummy snacks

Design and build a sculpture (no bigger than 5′ x 5′ x 5′) using the collected food. Sculptures will be on display at the Wabash County Historical Museum on November 5 during the First Friday Celebration.

We hope you will consider participating and showing your support for Blessing in a Backpack, a very worthy organization in our community. Many local students will benefit from your time and effort.

To participate, please contact Mary Jo Wynn at wynnm@msdwc.k12.in.us. Deadline for signing up to participate is October 26.
